WildBlue Internet Gateways
WildBlue High Speed Internet Satellite Service has 5 gateways located throughout U.S. and Canada that connects the WildBlue satellite network with the Internet. Each gateway consists of microwave, Internet, and other broadband equipment that quickly and efficiently routes traffic from the customer's computer to the Internet and back. WildBlue links the gateways to Internet via state-of-the-art fiber backbone.
WildBlue High Speed Internet Satellite
WildBlue high speed internet satellite service has designed a state-of-the-art Ka-band communication system, in collaboration with Telesat's Anik F2 satellite, that covers the continental United States with 31 spot beams. It's in a geo-stationary orbit 22,500 miles above the equator at 111.1 West Longitude. Built by Boeing and launched by Arianespace, the Anik F2 satellite is one of the largest commercial satellites ever manufactured.
WildBlue Internet Service chose the 20/30 GHz Ka-band frequencies and spot-beam architecture as the most effective technology platform to offer broadband wireless Internet via satellite. Advanced technology and low-cost structure allows WildBlue to provide residential consumers and small office customers, higher speeds at lower prices, as compared to other satellite broadband internet companies.

WildBlue Internet Modem
A WildBlue internet service modem is required to connect one or more customer computers' to the WildBlue high-speed internet satellite network. WildBlue Internet Service uses specialized wireless connection modem technology, based on the DOCSIS cable modem standards, a low-cost two-way satellite internet connection using a small high speed internet satellite network modem. WildBlue provides professional installation of WildBlue equipment that will take 2-3 hours to complete.
WildBlue Satellite Mini Dish
WildBlue Internet Service offers a small, efficient mini dish that can be mounted on a roof, wall or via pole mount in the ground. WildBlue's mini dish (28 " x 26"), receives signals from the satellite, and sends signals from the customers mini dish up to the satellite via wireless connection.
Customers PC
Connected via Ethernet to the WildBlue modem, your PC will have WildBlue high speed Internet satellite access, whether in your home or in your small office. You may connect your PC directly to your WildBlue modem with an Ethernet cable, or you can attach a wireless hub or router to your WildBlue modem and connect wirelessly (using the popular 802.11 standards for example).You are required to have an up-to-date anti-virus software on your PC.
